In the heart of the old village, the house is in a very quiet location - walking distance to the butcher, baker, grocery and newsagents, as well as two restaurants, and a bar. You can taste the local Côtes du Rhône and Cairanne Villages wines at the Caveau de Belvedere which stocks wines from 18 of the vineyards around the village
From Cairanne, it’s an easy drive to Orange, Vaison la Romaine, Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas, and Avignon. The whole area is a treasure-trove of delights, and each time you visit, you will be sure to discover something new and interesting. In the Spring - Mimosa, warm days, and places to visit without the crowds. In the Summer - festivals galore - music, wine , flowers and much, much more - and of course glorious sunshine and warm evenings.
In the Winter, pleasant weather, towns and cities to visit and explore, and throughout the year - delicious wines to be tasted at the Co-operatives and private vineyards, wonderful markets every day of the week, fantastic cuisine - Provençal dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients. There is plenty of walking cycling, swimming, horse riding throughout the year.
We are also pleased to offer private tours in the region to suit your own special interests - Food, Wine, Roman History and Antiques etc - or simply drive you to the areas of Provence you want to visit handling the details of parking and restaurant bookings whilst you simply enjoy yourself. Tours can be done in your own vehicle, or in a vehicle hired for special needs, for example for a large group. We have an excellent knowledge of this area and would be delighted to share it with you.
