The Property:
Barn cottage provides accommodation for four people, all on the ground floor.

One double bedroom. A twin bedrom equipped with bunk beds. A cot is available should it be required: please let us know in advance.

A comfortable open-plan lounge. Barn Cottage is equipped with French terrestrial television, books and indoor games are readily available. Has direct access onto the garden and the shared pool area, and garden furniture.
Shower room with wash basin and WC.
The corner kitchen is equipped with a microwave oven, a gas cooker and a refrigerator.

There is a communal hall with doors leading to Coachmans Cottage, therefore making it easy to configure both cottages for one large party of six to eight guests (note: we require one Booking Form per cottage). We have animals of our own and we fully understand how important pets are to their owners. So if you'd like to bring your pet, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you. Books and indoor games are readily available.

The grounds:
The cottage has direct access onto the garden and the shared pool area, and garden furniture. There is also a covered games area with table tennis, snooker and table football.

Nearby:
Nearby Brantome is a pretty little town situated on the river Dronne. Kayaking and boat trips are available. Nearby are the prehistoric caves of Villars and the 16th Century Chateau of Puyguilhem. The remarkable caves at Lascaux with their prehistoric paintings are within reasonable driving distance and whilst the original cave system is closed to the public, the replica, Lascaux 2, is a very busy tourist attraction. It is worth planning a visit to Lascaux in advance as tickets are not available onsite: they have to be purchased at the tourist centre in Montignac.

Near Lascaux is the mediaeval town of Sarlat, perfectly restored and it is a delight to wander around the narrow mediaeval streets with foie gras shops and restaurants galore.

Hint: Sarlat's market is every Saturday, and is a truly magnificent spectacle, but parking, indeed driving into the town centre, is not too easy at the best of times. Beynac and Rocamadour are beautiful examples of towns built into the cliff faces overlooking the Dordogne and are of course great tourist attractions. Driving along the winding roads around Rocamadour is not for the faint-hearted!
