There is a shower room on the second floor and two double bedrooms. Each has a double bed and more like three quarters than a double! Additionally however, the second bedroom can be used as two singles if required there is a folding Z bed.
Arrival/Departure Times: Saturday to Saturday weekly basis with arrival time at the property after 4 pm and guests asked to leave the property by 10 am. If there is other availability we will endeavour to be as flexible as possible.
Payment Terms: Half of the rental fee on booking followed by the balance eight weeks prior to arrival. Bed Linen: Sheets and pillow cases are provided but not towels.
Cleaning: We have an excellent cleaner - Victoria Serrano, and cleaning is included in the rental. We are conscious that some 'holiday, properties can be a bit 'un-cared for', ours isn’t.
The grounds:
A ladder type stair leads from the kitchen to the large roof terrace. This is not overlooked, having a surrounding walled area with flowerpots overflowing with geraniums. It is an ideal spot for getting a good tan - with two deck charis for comfort. If you wish to eat up here, there is a green cafe type table with parasol and four chairs. It is very pleasant sitting on the roof terrace in the afternoon sun with a good book and a glass of the local wine (wine can be purchased from the local producers, in the village for about 6 Euros a bottle).
Nearby:
The town of Duras has a large chateau - it is a quaint medieval town and shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, are all within a short stroll. The village square has two pavement cafes, one in the sun on the mornings, the other in the sun in the afternoons. The people of Duras are friendly and enjoy having visitors, and many local fetes are organised throughout the year. There are lots of villages in the area with rural restaurants and farmers markets. You can explore prehistoric caves, have trips on the river, visit world famous vineyards, walk in the lovely countryside. Nearby is the Lac de Catellgaillard with beaches, barbecue areas, a built in pool area and water slides.
